Rain chances through AM Saturday

TONIGHT: It will be another muggy night with cloudy skies and increasing showers. The best chance of rain is north of I-70 but a few showers are possible farther south. Heavy rain of 1-3″ is expected along and north of HWY 24 into northern Missouri through Friday with much lower amounts south. Low temperatures will drop into the mid 60s with light southerly winds.

FRIDAY: Rain is likely north of HWY 24 with showers farther south in the morning. The rain chance decreases into the afternoon as high temperatures reach near 80 with southerly winds up to 10 mph.

EXTENDED: Friday evening looks mainly dry and mild, but muggy for Sports Zone Football Friday. Another line of showers and thunderstorms will move in Friday night as a cold front moves through after midnight. As the front continues to push south, expect lingering showers Saturday morning, ending by the early afternoon. Heading through the second half of Saturday, conditions look dry with increasing sunshine with highs reaching the mid 70s, climbing to the low 80s Sunday. Some clouds from Tropical Storm Nate will move into areas south of HWy 54 Sunday afternoon and evening but no rain is expected at this time. Spot storms are possible Monday as we reach near 80. Rain chances increase Monday night into Tuesday as another cold front moves through, dropping our temperatures for the middle of next week.
