Camden County man charged with rape, sodomy, incest

UPDATE 4:53 p.m: According to the probable cause statement, the victim told police she went over to Romero’s house where she had too much to drink, got sick and threw up.

The victim told detectives she laid down on the couch to go to sleep, when she woke up Romero was raping her.

Detectives said Romero left the room, came back later and began to rape the victim again.

Detectives said the victim told them she was in dis-belief, shocked, paralyzed and scared.

The victim was able to leave the residence but kept receiving calls and texts from Romero, detectives said.

When detectives found Romero, he denied having any sexual interaction with the victim, officers said.

ORIGINAL STORY: Ryan Romero, 19 has been charged with rape stemming from a June investigation in Camden County.

Camden County deputies said Romero was arrested on Sept. 22.

Along with rape, Romero has been charged with sodomy and incest.

Romero’s bond is $30,000.
