Troopers respond to weather-related crashes on Wednesday

On Wednesday, Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to two weather-related crashes.

According to the traffic crash report, troopers responded to one crash on the eastbound lanes of U.S. 54 in Miller County on Wednesday afternoon.

Trooper said the crash happened when a Ford Focus hydroplaned, went off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Holly Burk, 20, the driver, had minor injuries but her car was totaled.

Troopers responded to another crash in the westbound lanes of I-70 in Boone County on Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers said the crash happened when a Ford Taurus hydroplaned, went off the left side of the roadway and struck a concrete barrier.

Emily Blankenship, 22, the driver, had minor injuries and her car had moderate damage.
