Columbia police respond to central Columbia crash, emergency crews perform extrication

UPDATE 5:27 p.m: Brad Fraizer with the Columbia Fire Department said it was a two vehicle crash.

Fraizer said a door on one of the vehicle had to be forced open to get one occupant.

One person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Fraizer said.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police responded to a vehicle collision on Tuesday evening on the corner of Third and Grand.

Columbia police told ABC 17 that one vehicle hit a police and an extrication had to be done.

Police and other first responders are still on scene.

ABC 17 is working to gather more information on the people involved.
