Tracking a return of showers and a few snowflakes

TONIGHT

Mostly dry this morning, showers return this afternoon. From the north, light scattered shower activity will bring hit and miss raindrops throughout the evening hours. Temperatures fall into the 30's overnight, and that will allow a few snowflakes to begin to mix in. No accumulations are expected as air and surface temperatures will remain above freezing.

TOMORROW

We start in the low to middle 30's Friday. A northwest wind and lingering cloud cover keeps temperatures in the 40's at best. Precipitation will likely stick around for the morning hours on Friday. Temperatures will largely determine what we see. Early as temperatures sit in the mid-30's, flurries may mix with showers, before a transition to all rain as temperatures warm. The bulk of the precipitation will stay on the east side of highway 63, and slowly push eastward through the day. Most are looking dry by mid-afternoon.

EXTENDED

Once the clouds leave Friday night, we’ll drop below the freezing mark, settling near 30 by daybreak on Saturday. With more sunshine on the way this weekend, temperatures will bounce back nicely. Highs on Saturday will reach the middle 50’s, warming to near 70 by Sunday. Rain chances will return Sunday night into Monday, with the active weather here to stay next week.
