Man with serious injuries life-flighted from Osage County crash

A man with serious injuries was life-flighted after a crash on U.S. 63 in Osage County on Wednesday.

According to the traffic crash report, Chance Sommerer, 24, failed to negotiate a curve.

Troopers said Sommerer traveled off the right side of the roadway, and overcorrected.

Sommerer’s car crossed the center line and crashed into a second vehicle head-on, troopers said.

Sommerer was life-flighted to University Hospital in Columbia.

The second driver suffered minor injuries.

Osage County deputies posted on Facebook that Sommerer was conscious and alert whe he was life-flighted.

Deputies said, “Please keep the drivers in your prayers.”
