Motorcycle rider suffers serious injuries in Moniteau County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A California, Missouri, man was taken to a hospital by ambulance early Monday after a crash on Highway 87.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report states that a pickup truck drove into the path of Travis Davis, 27, who was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Highway 87 at the Highway 50 westbound on-ramp. Davis was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

Davis was wearing a helmet, according to the report.
