Pulaski County man charged with getting into altercation with juvenile
On Tuesday, the Dixon Police Department arrested Thomas Soles on suspicion of domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the probable cause statement, an officer was dispatched to a residence for a disturbance. When the officer arrived, he spoke with a woman claiming to be Soles girlfriend. She stated that Soles had gotten into a physical altercation with two of her girls.
One of the girls claimed she was walking out of the residence when she heard her sister screaming and ran back inside. Once she was inside, Soles grabbed her by the throat and fell to the ground. While on the ground, Soles preceded to kick her in the face.
The Dixon police officer also spoke with another girl who is 16. She claimed Soles became angry with her, started yelling and pulling her hair. When her sister entered the residence, she ran to the bedroom to grab her cell phone, but Soles followed her, knocking her phone onto the ground. She was eventually able to escape and fled to a neighbor’s house.
Soles stated he did not mean to hurt the girls but “just snapped.”
The officer noticed several marks on the girls, one with a bloody lip and the other had marks on her face and neck.
Soles was arrested Tuesday night.
