Clearing Skies on Wednesday
TODAY: Most areas will see plenty of sunshine throughout the day today. Temperatures will warm into the low 80s with a light breeze out of the north. Winds will shift out of the south by this evening.
TONIGHT: Temperatures will drop back into the upper 50s through the overnight hours under mostly clear skies. There will be a light breeze out of the south under 5 mph.
EXTENDED: It will feel more like summer as a south breeze and mostly sunny skies bring temperatures up into the upper 80s Thursday and to near 90 degrees on Friday and Saturday. Friday evening will be warm for SportsZone Football Friday as temperatures start off in the mid 80s, only dropping to near 80 by 9 PM. It will feel slightly more humid as dew points climb into the low to mid 60s through the weekend. The Tigers will have hot weather for the start of the game Saturday with temperatures near 90 at 3 PM kickoff and will stay in the 80s through the game with light southerly winds under 8 mph. Late Saturday night into Sunday morning there is a chance of thunderstorms, mainly north of I-70. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s on Sunday and spot storms will be possible again Sunday afternoon. As a weak front slowly moves through, we’ll see continued, more widespread storm chances through Tuesday as temperatures reach into the low to mid 80s to start the work week.
