Dry and cool weather stick around through the rest of the week

WEDNESDAY: If you have been waiting for the cooler weather, today is your day. Highs this afternoon will climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s across a good portion of Mid-Missouri. It will be the coolest day of the next 7 and will feel spectacular thanks to low humidity. Winds will remain out of the northwest up to 15 mph, with gusts up to 20.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will allow temperatures to drop back into the upper 40s by morning time. Winds will be out of the northwest under 9 mph, keeping the humidity and warmer temperatures away from Mid-Missouri.

EXTENDED: We’ll continue to have below average temperatures through Thursday with daytime highs in the low to mid 70s and nights in the upper 40s. We’ll start to warm up Friday as high temperatures reach into the low 80s, but humidity will remain low. As of now, the weekend looks dry and warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s and nights in the mid to upper 50s.
