Pleasant Friday, with warming temperatures for the weekend

TODAY: With the official start to meteorological fall comes cooler weather in Mid-Missouri. Thanks to a cold front, we’ll see cooler conditions today. Highs through the afternoon hours will only climb into the mid and upper 70s, as northeasterly winds continue to bring in cooler and drier air.

TONIGHT: The weather will be pleasant for SportsZone Football Friday with evening temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 60s by 9 PM. Mostly clear skies will remain through the evening hours, as overnight lows drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s.

EXTENDED: After a cool morning, Saturday looks nice as temperatures only reach near 80 degrees in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies as winds stay light, shifting to the west late in the day. Summer-like heat returns Sunday with high temperatures in the upper 80s, climbing to near 90 for Labor Day as we continue to have abundant sunshine. A chance of rain returns late Monday night into Tuesday morning as a cold front moves through which will cool temperatures back to the mid 70s next Tuesday. Rainfall looks meager, as most locations will likely see less than .25″. Much cooler air settles in for the middle of next week with days in the low to mid 70s and nights in the upper 40s to lower 50s, feeling like fall for the second half of the week.
