Great weather Saturday, summer heat returns Sunday
The Labor Day holiday weekend will start off with pleasant weather Saturday as high pressure builds over the region. The morning will be chilly though, starting off in the lower 50s. The Tigers have a perfect day for the first home game. Tailgaters will have mild weather before the game with temperatures only at 62 degrees at 9 AM, climbing to 72 at 11 AM for kickoff. Some clouds will move through in the morning then skies will become mostly sunny as winds remain nearly calm.
Winds will shift to the south and temperatures will climb for the rest of the weekend as skies remain mostly sunny. Sunday morning will be comfortable as the day starts with temperatures near 60 but will quickly heat up into the mid to upper 80s by late-afternoon. Humidity will still be fairly low and winds will be light, coming in from the south.
Labor Day will be the hottest day of the week as we reach 90 degrees and will be slightly humid as dew points climb into the mid 60s. Winds will pick up to near 10 mph from the southwest in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
