Investigators: more than 25,000 documents regarding Carl DeBrodie case

It’s been a little more than four months since the reported death of Carl DeBrodie, a mentally handicapped man from Fulton who was found encased in concrete a week after he was reported missing from his group home, Second Chance.

ABC 17 News checks with investigators weekly on the case and so far no arrests have been made in the death of DeBrodie.

Fulton Police Chief Steve Myers told ABC 17 News investigators have more than 25,000 documents linked to this case and have been reviewing the documents several times making sure they don’t miss any key evidence.

“We want to do this once and we want to do this right,” Myers said.

As of right now, federal, state and local authorities are involved with the case.

Myers said arrests could be taking awhile because investigators want to make sure they make the right arrest along with charges.

As of now, there is no timeline on when an arrest could be made.
