Man arrested, accused of raping juvenile
A 27-year-old man was arrested by Boone County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday in connection to an incident in late June.
Deputies say they suspect Thomas O. Carter IV of sexually assaulting a juvenile in the 5000 block of Limoges Drive.
Carter was taken into custody just after 5 p.m. Tuesday after being interviewed by deputies at the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
A resident of the 4000 block of Thornwood Drive, Carter posted a $9,000 bond and was released from the Boone County Detention Center.
Carter faces charges of second-degree statutory rape and statutory sodomy.
Deputies say the investigation began earlier this month, after the sheriff’s department received information about the incident from the Missouri Children’s Division.
