Three female suspects lead Fulton PD on high-speed car chase

ABC 17 News has confirmed with the Fulton police department that three female suspects led authorities on a car chase on Monday.

The vehicle the suspects were driving was stolen out of Columbia. The chase began on Route F, about a half mile west of Highway 54.

Sgt. Schramm of Fulton PD got a call saying the vehicle may be in his area. Once Schramm spotted the vehicle, he flashed his lights and the car took off.

The chase got up to 100 mph and spiked strips were used on Route J, which took out both driver side wheels. The car lost control and nose-dived off road, taking a sign with it.

All three suspects were transferred to University Hospital with unknown injuries and will be facing charges, according to Sgt. Schramm. The vehicle will go to Fulton PD to be searched for any contraband.
