Fallen Callaway County Marine memorial service Sunday afternoon
Mid-Missouri residents will get their chance to say their final goodbyes to a local fallen Marine.
Talon Leach, of Callaway County, was one of the 16 servicemen who died in a plane crash in Mississippi in July. Leach died in the line of duty when a transport plane he was in crashed on its way to pre-deployment training.
His memorial service will be taking place at 4 p.m. Sunday at North Callaway High School followed by a processional route on Business 54 North at 5 p.m.
Leach was a sergeant with the 2nd Raider Battalion, Special Operations Command. He was active duty and was a critical skills operator.
