Tracking a system that just won’t leave
TODAY: Showers will continue today and tomorrow as the pesky low pressure that brought yesterday's rain is slow to leave the Midwest. Expect scattered off and on showers with afternoon temperatures in the mid-40's.
TOMORROW: As previously mentioned, scattered showers will linger into Thursday. In fact, overnight temperatures tonight into Wednesday morning will drop into the mid 30's, allowing for a few snow flakes to make it to the ground. Air temperatures will stay above freezing, and an even warmer ground will prevent anything from accumulating. Those flakes turn back into those showers Thursday, and may very well stick around for the majority of the day. Temperatures on Thursday only reach mid-40's.
EXTENDED: We finally see more sunshine by Friday, and temperatures recover to near 60. The weekend looks dry and nice with temperatures in the 50s. A warmup ensues early next week, with temperatures climbing into the 60's ahead of our next system. This will bring precipitation chances back to the forecast for early to middle of next week.
