CPD arrests woman accused of multiple drug crimes

Columbia police arrested Atlantis Jones just after 2 a.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop in the area of Ash and Fifth streets.

According to the police report, a K-9 unit was used to search the car in which Jones was a passenger.

The K-9 search indicated there were drugs in the car, and when officers searched further they reported finding more than half a gram of methamphetamine, an Alprazolam pill, small unused jewelry baggies, several cut straws, a digital scale, razor blades, a glass pipe and jewelry baggies with methamphetamine residue.

Jones was arrested for felony possession of controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
