Fulton trespassing suspect accused of assaulting police officer

While responding to a trespassing call just after 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Spruce Street, Fulton police said they made contact with 46-year-old Jeremy Cochran.

During the arrest, Cochran attacked the officers, injuring one of them, according to the Fulton Police Department.

Police said the 26-year-old officer was taken to the hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

Cochran was taken to the Callaway County Jail for first-degree trespassing and assault on law enforcement officer.

A bond amount has not yet been set.
