Next principal announced for Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School

The Columbia Board of Education has received a recommendation on the next principal for Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School.

Officials say Amanda Minear will take over the role from current Interim Principal Brian Rehg. Rehg will be returning to his position as assistant principal at Parkade Elementary School where he served prior to taking on the interim role at Alpha Hart Lewis.

Minear is currently serving in a leadership role as the administrative assistant at Lange Middle School.

“We’re excited to have Dr. Minear as part of the Alpha Hart Lewis Trusty Huskie community and for her transition into her position during our summer programming. She will be a great part of their school community and will do an outstanding job,” said Superintendent Brian Yearwood in a release.
