Tracking scattered rain and storms into this evening

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Temperatures dropping into the lower 40s.

TOMORROW: Cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the mid-40s.

EXTENDED: Low pressure slowly migrates across the region over the next few days, keeping precipitation chances in the forecast through Thursday. A cold front works its way across Mid-Missouri tonight, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms from west to east by late afternoon. We're not expecting severe weather, but a few intense storms with heavy rain and small hail will be possible through sunset, especially along and west of Highway 63. Temperatures drop into the low 40s overnight, setting the tone for a chilly Wednesday as temperatures remain in the 40s with clouds through the day. By Wednesday night, we drop back down into the 30s with the back side of low pressure to our east. A few flurries will be possible into Thursday morning, but impacts are not expected. We remain in the mid-40s as clouds stick around during the day. We finally see more sunshine by Friday, and temperatures recover into the low 60s. The weekend looks dry and nice with temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
