Near drowning at Fugitive Beach near Rolla
A 19-year-old is recovering after a near-drowning at Fugitive Beach near Rolla.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the St. Louis man went under the water while swimming Tuesday afternoon and didn’t resurface. A lifeguard at the tourist attraction pulled him from the water.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
In June, an 18-year-old drowned at the same tourist attraction after going down a waterslide.
