Beautiful Wednesday leads to an active weather pattern
TODAY: After a sunny and mild morning, we’ll have a warm, partly sunny afternoon with high temperatures in the low 80s and light southeast winds up to 7 mph.
TONIGHT: Clouds will continue to build through the evening causing for mostly cloudy skies through the night. Spotty showers and t-storms will spread east late Wednesday night, affecting areas west of HWY 63. Storms look to hold off after midnight tonight. Low temperatures will drop into the mid 60s. Winds through the night will be out of the southeast at 3-6 mph.
EXTENDED: The chance of showers and storms continues Thursday. These will be “hit and miss” with rainfall amounts up to a quarter inch east of HWY 63 and possible half inch totals west. These will end by early evening and no severe weather is expected. As a wave of low pressure tracks into mid-Missouri, Friday sees an increasing chance of shower and t-storms, this time most likely south of I-70. Rainfall amounts could be up to a half inch. Highs will reach the lower 80s Friday. Heading into the weekend, we’ll pick up another chance of t-storms Saturday but will stay dry Sunday with mostly cloudy skies as high temperatures reach to 80 and nights in the lower 60s.
