Storms and heavy rainfall for Saturday

TODAY: Showers and thunderstorms will move in by mid-morning and spreading east through the afternoon. Most of Mid-Missouri is under a Flash Flood Watch for today and into Sunday. We have a marginal risk for severe weather for the southwestern half of Mid-Missouri with isolated strong wind to 60 mph or 1″ hail, with a slightly greater threat west of HWY 65. Temperatures today will reach the low to mid-70s.

TONIGHT: Scattered afternoon storms will continue into early evening across Mid-Missouri, becoming more widespread Saturday night. These will be efficient rain producers and heavy rain is likely Saturday night which could lead to flash flooding. Rainfall amounts of 1-3″ are likely with some areas seeing up to 5 inches of rain through early Sunday morning. Low temperatures will be in the mid-60s.
