Police arrest Columbia man for rape in 2002 case

Police arrested a Columbia man Thursday for a crime 15 years after it allegedly happened.

The Columbia Police Department said officers arrested Jackie Jennings, 53, at 5:00 p.m. for Thursday night in the 400 block of North Keene Street.

Jennings was arrested on a felony warrant for forcible rape and felony burglary.

Columbia police said the arrested stemmed from a case in 2002.

As of Friday morning, Jennings is in the Boone County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
