Severe threat by this afternoon

TODAY: It will be a comfortable start to the day, with temperatures in the 60s. Through the day, westerly winds under 10 mph will pull in more warmth through the day. Highs will once again top out in the mid to upper 80s across the region ahead of an advancing cold front. This frontal passage is set to track through Mid-Missouri through the late afternoon and early evening hours, bringing with it a chance for strong storms. Storms look likely to start up after 3 PM. Any storms we see tomorrow will have a threat for damaging winds and large hail. All of mid-Mo is under a marginal risk for severe weather, but widespread severe weather is not expected. Some areas may even stay dry through Thursday. Up to a .25″ of rain is likely by the end of the day.

TONIGHT: We will see drying conditions through the overnight hours as a less humid air mass begins to dominate mid-Missouri. Skies will clear with winds out of the northwest up to 5 mph. By Friday morning it will be cool as overnight lows drop into the upper 50s.
