Missouri’s special session costs taxpayers nearly $100,000

New numbers show a special session on abortion cost Missouri taxpayers about $92,000.

The Associated Press said the Missouri House spent about $60,000 while the Senate spent about $32,000.

The session lasted from June to July and resulted in a new law that tightens Missouri abortion regulations.

It’s the second special session Gov. Eric Greitens has called in his first year of office, making the combined cost for those sessions $158,000.
