Hit and miss showers possible this afternoon

TODAY: We will begin to see breaks in the cloud cover by this afternoon leading to partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will reach into the low to mid 80s with light and variable winds. Spotty showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon, mainly after 1 pm, but will be very hit and miss.

TONIGHT: We are looking to stay dry under partly cloudy skies overnight. Temperatures will be dropping into the mid 60s with a light and variable breeze.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and a slight storm chance. This chance will also be very hit and miss. Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week before another cold front moves in Thursday, bringing scattered showers and t-storms in the afternoon. These storms look to have the potential to be strong. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s Thursday but will cool into the upper 70s Friday with a northerly breeze and mostly sunny skies. Friday night will be unseasonably cool as we dip into the upper 50s. The mild weather will continue into the weekend as high temperatures only reach near 80. A chance of showers and t-storms returns Sunday. Watch ABC17 News and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for continued updates.
