Gloomy Thursday before a gorgeous weekend

TODAY: S howers and thunderstorms will become more widespread through the afternoon. A flash flood warning is in effect for Benton County until 12:30 pm and Camden County until 1:15 pm. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with a chance of storms continuing south of I-70 in the afternoon and moving south through early evening. A small portion of Pulaski and Phelps Counties are under a marginal risk for severe weather Thursday afternoon as damaging wind gusts are possible; otherwise, severe weather isn’t expected today for most of Mid-Missouri. It won’t be feeling as hot today as temperatures will only be reaching into the mid-80s with winds shifting to the northwest under 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Into tonight we will see conditions dry out as skies gradually start to clear behind the front. Temperatures will begin to drop back into the 60s with lower humidity. There will be a slight northerly breeze up to 8 mph.
