Missouri correctional facilities to return to pre-pandemic visitor policy on April 1

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Starting next month visiting procedures will return to the policy from before the pandemic started at Missouri correctional facilities on April 1.

A release was shared yesterday with family and friends along with offenders as well.

The new procedures will include visiting rooms operating at full capacity and face coverings will no longer be required for visitors, offenders or staff.

Visiting has been open to all offerers since October. This change lifts COVID-19 restrictions for scheduling, capacity and mask requirements.
