TONIGHT: There is a chance of a few showers in the evening but most fireworks displays will have dry weather. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s for fireworks time, dropping to near 70 by morning. Showers will increase overnight in the Ozarks and spread north into the early morning hours.

WEDNESDAY: Scattered showers and t-storms are possible from morning through the afternoon and will be more numerous south of I-70. No severe weather is expected. High temperature will reach close to 80 degrees with rain ending from mid afternoon west of HWy 63 to early evening farther southeast. Rainfall amounts will range from only a tenth of an inch near HWY 65 with up to an inch possible east of HWY 63. Winds will stay under 10 mph from the northeast.

EXTENDED: We will have drier conditions on Thursday with high temperatures near 90 and heat indices in the lower 90s. A cold front will drop into northern Missouri Thursday night moving south through Friday morning. Storms in northern Missouri along this front will move southeast overnight Thursday and will weaken. Areas north of I-70 could have a severe storm as these move in after 11 PM with main threats quarter size hail nad 60 mph wind gusts. As the rain moves south, it will become spotty with lower rain chances south of I-70 Friday morning. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s Friday, dropping into the mid 80s for the weekend.
