Columbia woman arrested for making terroristic threat, reporting fake hostage situation

Columbia Police Department Street Crimes Detectives arrested April Rae Brashier, age 42, from Columbia, at the Boone County Jail for making a terroristic threat on Thursday.

Brashier was arrested for falsely calling in a hostage situation with a gun in the 200 block of Apple Tree Court on June 22.

According to a release, Columbia Police Department Street Crimes Detectives were actively looking for Brashier for several outstanding warrants when she called in the report, trying to divert officers from a home to avoid being arrested.
