Boone County detectives arrest suspect in double shooting

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest in connection with a double shooting.

Detectives arrested Alyssia Thorpe, 20, of Jefferson City Tuesday on suspicion of hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence.

The shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. June 18 at the BP Kwik Store in the 5700 block of St. Charles Road.

Two 35-year-old women were wounded and taken to a hospital in a private vehicle and have since been released.

The Jefferson City Police Department assisted with the investigation. which is ongoing.
