Dry and sunny Tuesday afternoon

TODAY: A beautiful day is underway across Mid-Missouri as sunny skies will greet the entire area today. Highs this afternoon will be in the mid 70s before topping out near 80 degrees by the end of the day. There will be a slight southeast breeze up to 8 mph.

TONIGHT: Into the overnight hours we will see mostly clear skies as a southerly breeze remains in effect up to 8 mph. Tonight temperatures will be much warmer, only dropping into the lower 60s. Humidity will be on the increase, but conditions will stay dry overnight.

EXTENDED: Humidity will be on the increase through the week with temperatures climbing back into the mid to upper 80s. Active weather looks likely as a cold front will slowly track through Missouri. This could allow for heavy rainfall with the potential for some isolated flash flooding areas. A slight risk of severe weather is possible as we head into Wednesday evening, with that threat continuing for Thursday. Main threats with any storms that go severe will be hail and damaging winds. Rainfall amounts through the weekend will likely exceed three inches in many places. By the weekend, temperatures once again fall below normal, with highs back in the mid 80s.
