Texas County inmate on the run
A Texas County prisoner is on the run after he overpowered a guard on Monday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Christopher Hunt, 33, has a violent history and has been known to assault officers.
He was last seen wearing a green and white-striped uniform and has numerous tattoos on his body, including “Tough Times” on his hands.
On Monday, he overpowered a prison transport guard near Edgar Springs in Phelps County and drove away in the silver transport vehicle.
The vehicle was later recovered on a county road, but Hunt was still missing as of Monday night.
Highway Patrol used a helicopter in the area, but to no avail.
