Rain ending, mild and sunny Tuesday

TONIGHT: Lingering showers are possible through the evening. Temperatures will drop into the mid 50s by morning with clearing skies and patchy fog with light winds.

TUESDAY: After patchy morning fog, skies will be sunny with high temperatures reaching near 80 degrees and a southeast breeze to 8 mph.

EXTENDED: Humidity will be on the increase through the week with temperatures climbing back into the mid to upper 80s. Active weather looks likely as a cold front will slowly track through Missouri. This could allow for heavy rainfall with the potential for some isolated flash flooding areas. A slight risk of severe weather is possible as we head into Wednesday evening, with that threat continuing for Thursday. Main threats with any storms that go severe will be hail and damaging winds. Rainfall amounts through the weekend will likely exceed three inches in many places. By the weekend, temperatures once again fall below normal, with highs back in the low-mid 80s.
