Dry and comfortable Sunday evening to come

TODAY: Sunday will be another beautiful day with cool temperatures near the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies. There will be a noticeable difference in winds, as they shift out of the northwest up to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. These winds come with the passage of a weak and dry cold front. Tonight will be dry and mostly clear with comfortable temperatures in the 60s.

MONDAY: It will be significantly cooler as we head into Monday under partly sunny skies for the morning hours. Overcast skies and showers will build in from the west, bringing showers and a few thunderstorms into Mid-Missouri by the late morning hours for areas north of I-70. Highs will climb only into the lower and mid 70s. The rain chance will continue into the evening hours. The best chance to see rain accumulation near 0.25″ is west of US 63.

EXTENDED: Into Tuesday we will see the return of 80s in the forecast, with a gradual warming trend. Humidity levels will rise through the week, with temperatures climbing back into the upper 80s. Active weather looks likely as we head into the end of next week, as scattered showers and storms will carry us into the weekend.
