Recovery center opens in Maries County

On Wednesday, the FEMA Recovery Center opens in Maries County.

This comes after the significant amount of flooding Mid- Missouri saw over the past few months.

Recovery specialists will be in to talk to residents about how FEMA can help residents fill out applications.

FEMA suggests registering with them online before coming in to the center.

A few things to have handy for registration are:

-Social Security number

-A description of the damages

-Insurance information

The location will be open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and close on Saturday at 7 p.m.
