No injuries after duplex fire in Columbia

No one was injured after a fire in south Columbia Tuesday night.

The Columbia Fire Department responded to the 3700 block of Prescott Drive around 10:20 p.m. for the fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters could smell smoke at the front door and had to force entry into the left side of the duplex.

The fire was found on the bottom floor and took about 10 minutes to extinguish.

No one was in the unit where the fire was located. The tenants on the right side of the duplex made the call.

The fire marshal was on the scene investigating late Tuesday night.
