One person injured after garage fire in Jefferson City

One person was injured after a garage fire in Jefferson City Tuesday night.

The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to the blaze near the intersection of Carol Street and Rosevalley Drive around 7:40 p.m.

Fire crews found flames coming from the garage attached to a single story home when they arrived.

The crew told ABC 17 News the fire caused smoke and heat damage inside the home.

They also said the person injured was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
