Man sentenced to 15 years for domestic assault, shooting woman
Jerry Gill has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for domestic assault and five years in prison for armed criminal action.
The sentences will run consecutively, giving him a total of 20 years in prison.
Gill must have served 85 percent of the 15 years and at least three of the five years to be eligible for parole.
ABC 17 News previously reported on Gill when he held his ex-girlfriend in his car against her will and ended up shooting her in the shoulder.
According to the probable cause statement, Gill admitted to the shooting, kidnapping and beating of his ex-girlfriend.
