Boone County deputies: Driver flees after car chase
A Boone County deputy was on patrol and saw a car driving at a fast speed on west Broadway near Silvey Street around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
The deputy attempted a traffic stop with the driver, but the car continued on at a high rate of speed, according to a sergeant on duty.
The deputy chased the car until he lost sight of it.
The car was later located at the 4200 block of Bethany Drive without a driver inside.
Deputies brought a K-9 unit, but the dog was not able to track down the driver.
Deputies collected evidence from the vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
Deputies do not have any suspect information at this time.
