CHARLESTON, Mo. (AP) — Law enforcement authorities continue to search for a suspect in a shooting at a party in southeast Missouri that left two people dead and 14 people injured. The shooting occurred early Saturday in Charleston in the Missouri Bootheel. Robert Hearnes, director of the Charleston Department of Public Safety, identified the victims as 23-year-old Clintayzia Clark and 19-year-old Brianna Schumer, both of Cape Girardeau. Hearnes says shots were fired at a party in an open building in Charleston. He says four people were in serious or critical condition and the others were treated at area hospitals. KFVS reports Hearnes said up to 100 people were at the party and he’s asking witnesses to come forward with information.
