Mizzou falls to Mississippi State in final seconds

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team could not hang on for a win against Mississippi State on Sunday night, as the Bulldogs took two in a row over MU with a 58-56 win over the Tigers.

Mississippi State took the lead with just ten seconds left courtesy of an and one from Shakeel Moore. Senior Javon Pickett had a chance to win the game with an open three in the corner, but he could not connect.

Pickett led the Tigers with 16 points along with four rebounds and four assists.

The Tigers are now 10-17 overall and 4-10 in SEC play. Up next - Mizzou will stay home to host No. 16 Tennessee on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Also on Sunday - MU announced Yaya Keita is out for the season after having knee surgery.
