Tracking a chilly Saturday, milder tomorrow

Today: Mostly sunny and cold with highs near freezing. Temps will stay constant overnight thanks to southerly winds.

Tomorrow: Spring-like as highs jump to the upper 50s. Breezy with wind gusts up to 25 mph.

Extended: A weak cold front will slide in from the north tonight, bringing strong northwest winds to cool us a bit for Saturday. Next week starts off mild but we have multiple systems to keep an eye on. The first one moves in Monday into Tuesday, bringing mostly rain, but depending on timing there could be a brief window of mixed precipitation for far northeastern portions of the area. Behind that, we drop to about 30 by Wednesday as high pressure briefly settles in ahead of a more complex storm system that moves in late Wednesday night/early Thursday. The setup looks similar to this week where we'll have the potential for varying precipitation types, but temperatures before the storm are expected to be below freezing so that could make a difference in the outcome. There's a chance it could track too far south and we don't end up with much, so we'll keep a close eye on it until early next week. We end the week on a cold note near freezing again on Friday.
