Police find evidence of gunfire in central Columbia

Columbia police responded to the 1200 block of Rangeline Street for reports of gunshots around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Police dispatch reports said there was a large gathering near The Soul Spot.

Police said the crowd then moved to the parking lot of Mid American Title Loans where a verbal argument began between the crowd and the business. Police said during the argument shots were fired.

Officers confirmed that they found one gun shell casing and one car with damage in the area.

Police say no one was injured, no one was arrested and they do not have a suspect description in connection with the shooting.
