Power restored for thousands in mid-Missouri after storms overnight

UPDATE 5:36am: Ameren Missouri is reporting all outages across the state are now restored.

UPDATE 5:07am: More than 2,000 mid-Missourians are now without power after strong storms hit the area Friday morning.

Here’s a look at the outage reports by county from Ameren Missouri.

Osage – 913

Miller – 134

Montgomery – 21

Statewide: 6,174

ORIGINAL: Ameren Missouri is reporting customers in Miller and Morgan Counties are without power Friday morning.

According to Ameren’s outage map, the Miller County outage was first reported just after 3:00am Friday and is impacting 765 customers.

It also says the estimated time of restoration is 6:45am and says a crew is already assigned to the outage for repairs.

Right now, there’s no word on an official cause. However, the outage was reported after strong storms moved through the area.

Another outage is also impacting about 72 customers in Morgan County and there’s no indicated time of when that outage will be restored yet.

ABC 17 News will keep working to find out what caused the outages and will update this story as we learn more.
