Tracking the end of snow, single digit temperatures overnight

TONIGHT: Clouds slowly decrease with gusty winds up to 25 mph overnight. Lows in the single digits with wind chills dropping to about -5 to -10 by sunrise.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the mid-upper 30s.

EXTENDED: Winds howl the rest of tonight with gusts between 25-30 mph overnight. That may blow some snow around along with drop our wind chills below zero through early Friday morning. We'll likely still have several slick or snow packed roads thanks to cold low temperatures in the single digits. However, we should see more improvement by early afternoon with highs reaching the mid-upper 30s. The weekend starts off chilly but we're above freezing Saturday in the upper 30s to around 40 with more sunshine. A warm front lifts across the region on Saturday night, sending us back into the mid-upper 50s on Sunday. Next week starts off mild with strong southwest winds getting us to about 60, but the warm up is short lived with an active pattern setting up for the rest of the week. A series of disturbances work through the Midwest and will bring a chance of rain Tuesday, with high pressure briefly building overhead on Wednesday. That cools us back into the 30s for highs Wednesday and Thursday, but another low pressure system is expected to impact the region at the end of the week, perhaps bringing more precipitation to Mid-Missouri.
