Some Rivers Still Rising After 32 hours of rain

Some of the larger rivers crested this morning and will continue to lower through the day, some however are still rising including the Osage River at St. Thomas. A Minor Flood Stage is expected along the Osage River this afternoon with a level 3′ above flood stage.

The Missouri River at Jefferson City is cresting through early afternoon 3.4′ above flood stage before falling under flood stage by Friday night.

The Missouri River at Chamois is cresting this morning, 9′ above flood stage through Friday morning. From Mokane to Rhineland, 94 is closed as of 10:30AM, and along 100 from St. Auburt and Chamois Access to Morrison.

The Missouri River at Hermann is also cresting this morning, 14′ above normal as a Major Flood Stage. Water levels will fall to a Moderate Flood Stage this weekend, and eventually under a Minor flood stage through Tuesday.
