Steady Rain Wednesday, Heavy at Times, Flooding Possible

TODAY: Steady rain will be on going through Thursday morning. Rain amounts will range from 3″ in Columbia to 4″ south of HWY 50, with the highest totals in southeast Mid-Missouri near HWY 65, where locally higher amounts of 5″ isn’t ruled out. Areas north of I-70 will see rain amounts of 0.25″ to 1″ today. Winds pick up in the afternoon gusting anywhere from 20 to 30 mph after 12PM. Temperatures will remain in the low 50s as rain continues to keep temperatures consistently cool. TONIGHT: It stays breezy with winds gusting to 30 mph. Temperatures will drop to the low 40s making for a cooler night with steady rain ongoing east of US 63.
